Workplace Lead

Responsibilities
Serve as the in-person, primary point of contact for the New York office, ensuring a consistent, high-quality workplace experience
Own day-to-day workplace operations for the NYC office, including facilities repair and maintenance, services, projects, and programs
Set strategic direction for space planning, including moves, adds, changes, and long-term space optimization
Manage and develop vendor relationships, driving service excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
Oversee workplace budgets, analyze spend, and make data-informed recommendations to improve efficiency and scalability
Act as a trusted cross-functional partner, collaborating closely with Culinary, IT, People Experience, Safety & Security, and business leaders to deliver a cohesive in-office experience
Lead in-office onboarding in partnership with People teams, creating a welcoming and well-supported experience for new hires
Support and execute onsite events and initiatives aligned with company and business priorities
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience leading workplace operations, facilities, or office environments, ideally in a high-growth or evolving organization
A systems mindset, with the ability to think holistically about how space, people, programs, and operations intersect and identify opportunities to improve and scale
Comfort operating as a local team of one, with a strong sense of ownership and sound judgment; you anticipate issues, resolve escalations, and propose thoughtful, scalable solutions
Experience owning larger-scale projects or programs and navigating complexity to move work forward
The ability to act as a connector and influencer, building trust across teams and representing Workplace through clear communication, follow-through, and partnership
A genuine interest in getting to know colleagues and working effectively across different styles and perspectives; you value building strong relationships
A high bar for quality and performance, paired with a mindset of continuous improvement
Familiarity with tools such as Envoy, Office Space, Google Workspace, and Jira
Availability to be onsite five days a week, with flexibility to work occasional early mornings, late evenings, or weekends as needed
