Responsibilities
Lead and manage complex intellectual property litigation, including patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, and unfair competition matters
Represent clients before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), and federal and state courts nationwide
Develop and implement litigation strategies that align with each client’s business objectives and technological strengths
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including trial lawyers, patent attorneys, and investigators—to provide comprehensive and cost-effective solutions
Advise clients on licensing, enforcement, and protection of their IP portfolios, including anti-piracy and anticounterfeiting programs
Qualification
Required
J.D. degree from an accredited law school and admission to the California Bar
Extensive IP litigation experience
Proven ability to manage large-scale, high-stakes litigation and deliver practical, business-oriented results
Demonstrated success in client development and a portable book of business
Excellent advocacy, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to explain complex technologies to diverse audiences
Preferred
Strong technical background—advanced degree in electrical, mechanical, computer, or software engineering preferred
