Queens Early Literacy Tutor
PRACTICE is dedicated to creating a more inclusive and equitable educational system. As an Education Champion, you will provide literacy support to young learners, helping them strengthen their foundational reading and writing skills in a school-based setting.

Responsibilities
Provide ELA (literacy) support to students in grades K–1
Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring in core subjects like Math, Reading, Writing, Literacy and exam prep
Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to develop engaging, personalized learning strategies that help students thrive
Bridge language gaps to ensure every student has the support they need
Qualification
Required
Passion for Learning: Committed to supporting academic and personal success, especially for underserved and bilingual students
Strong Academics: Degree-seeking student or graduate with a minimum 3.0 GPA in Education or a relevant field
Committed and Flexible: Available to work 10-35 hours per week at an assigned school and participate in monthly training
Collaborative Spirit: Ready to work closely with teachers, school leaders, and fellow tutors to maximize student success
