Responsibilities
Support Hartford HealthCare (HHC) research investigators in the design, analysis and review of all research projects, including preparation of abstracts, posters, and manuscripts
Bring expertise in advanced statistics and biomedical research
Work in collaborative teams with clinical investigators from a variety of clinical areas of research
Participate in the mentorship of medical students, residents and fellows
Interact with clinicians, clinical research staff and the HHC Institutional Review Board (IRB)
Qualification
Required
Doctoral degree with minimum 3 to 5 years research experience, including complex biostatistical analyses of clinical data, work with databases, and grant writing
Demonstrated knowledge of relevant research proposal development, study design and statistical procedures
Expertise in advanced statistical analysis (using software such as SPSS or R), relevant database management skills and use of multivariate data sets
Requires excellent oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration with healthcare partners and students
Preferred
A candidate with a Master's degree with significant independent research experience and all other qualifications may be considered
