HR Specialist - Full Time
JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa is seeking an HR Specialist to perform a wide range of human resources functions. This role involves recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and supporting associate engagement initiatives while ensuring adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
Execute all HR tasks in compliance with internal policies and external laws/regulations; escalate compliance issues as needed
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training programs
Present and manage New Hire Orientation from start to finish
Support associate engagement initiatives, including recognition programs, updating digital communication, and planning associate engagement events
Assists with employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans
Supports annual open enrollment process and ensures timely communication of benefit options
Maintains accurate benefits records and processes updates in HRIS systems
Works with vendors and carriers to resolve benefit-related issues and discrepancies
Prepares and distributes benefits-related communications and educational materials
Maintain accurate and timely records across all HR functions; perform data entry and electronic filing
Prepare reports and assist with audits and special projects
Communicate effectively with associates, management, and external parties; escalate issues promptly
Provide quality customer service and support to associates and guests
Deliver engaging presentations and training programs using effective public speaking techniques
Prepare training materials, agendas, and schedules for orientation and other learning sessions
Utilize Microsoft 365 tools, including PowerPoint for presentations and Excel for tracking and reporting training data
Track attendance and maintain accurate records in HR systems
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Answer phones and maintain the front desk, greeting and assisting associates who walk in
Assist with Marriott Bonvoy program EID processing and related documentation
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
HR experience, including associate engagement and public speaking
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to build relationships, resolve conflicts, and work with diverse groups
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
Knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance standards, and benefits regulations
Proficient in HRIS and ATS systems; Proficient in Microsoft 365, including PowerPoint and Excel; experience with LMS preferred
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Bilingual (Spanish required)
Nevada Gaming License required
