Responsibilities

Understand and clearly articulate the mission and philanthropic priorities of the Medical College of Wisconsin and Froedtert Hospital
Demonstrate comprehensive understanding and ability to articulate institutional strategic priorities
Build and manage a portfolio of approximately 100-125 prospects and donors with capacity to contribute at the $100,000+ level. Develop and execute strategies designed to realize the current and lifetime giving potential of prospective donors. Establish and build deep relationships with prospects and donors
Demonstrate creative and thorough qualification efforts to identify and advance prospect relationships
Provide high-level philanthropic staffing and management of the identified faculty/staff and institutional leaders as appropriate
Establish deep relationships with MCW and Froedtert Hospital leaders and administrators to define and promote philanthropic priorities
Understand and articulate philanthropic priorities across MCW and Froedtert Hospital, effectively matching the interests of prospects to institutional priorities and ensure effective stewardship of donor relationships
Position requires up to 25% travel as identified by prospect and benefactor base
Participate in advancement and alumni activities and events, including dinners, receptions, and other fundraising initiatives
Review and ensure continued accuracy of portfolio in database software, Raiser’s Edge. Record proposals and actions about prospects and donors in a timely fashion in database
Accountable to annual individual performance goal metrics as well as strategic goals and objectives of department

Required

Bachelor's degree
4 years - experience as a fundraiser within a medium to large non-profit organization
Highly relational internally, and externally
Organized, thoughtful leader with entrepreneurial spirit, creativity, and resourcefulness
Superior interpersonal and relationship management skills
Ability to work across a complex organization and provide inspired leadership
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all constituencies, fostering inclusiveness and diversity of ideas
Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced deadline-oriented team environment
Ability to adapt to changing circumstances in a complex environment and embrace challenges
Demonstrated visionary and strategic thinking capabilities
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information related to donors and employees
Position requires up to 25% travel as identified by prospect and benefactor base

Preferred

Master's Degree
6 years or more in internet research, database query and reporting experience - successful track record securing five-figure gifts
