Global Head of Learning Governance

Responsibilities
Facilitate governance councils and decision-making meetings and own the cadence of L&D leadership meetings and business reviews
Collaborate with L&D leaders to understand organizational governance strategies, frameworks, processes, tools and key performance indicators
Provide recommendations for improvement opportunities for L&D governance strategies, frameworks, processes, tools and key performance indicators
Reinforce consistent roles and responsibilities across all functional groups and aid in positioning the different roles for success
Collaborate with the different L&D functional groups to embed governance practices into the overall L&D process and ensure the successful implementation of GM L&D governance strategy
Implement strategies to train and equip stakeholders with the knowledge and skills to operate effectively within the L&D governance framework
Establish expectations and oversight for L&D governance standards
Assess L&D activities to ensure consistency in the execution of centralized strategies, frameworks, processes and tools
Track the effectiveness of the L&D governance program, identify potential gaps in the L&D activities, and provide feedback on how to address these gaps
Partner with senior leadership to ensure that all learning initiatives align with organizational priorities and strategic goals
Drive special projects or high-priority initiatives on behalf of the Head of L&D, monitoring progress and reporting back on outcomes
Act as a liaison between the Head of L&D and other leaders or teams, removing roadblocks and accelerating collaboration across teams and departments
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience in learning and development roles
Proven experience in learning and development role with a focus on strategic planning, relationship building, and effective communication
A strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and learning technologies
Experience in developing and implementing policies, managing procedural documentation, and monitoring of compliance
Ability to think strategically and align learning and development initiatives with broader business goals
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to establish trust and credibility
Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively articulating the value of consistent processes to diverse audiences
Ability to manage multiple programs with competing deadlines and maintain high levels of organization and thoroughness
Competence in analyzing learning needs and measuring the impact of learning solutions on individual and organizational performance
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
