The Research Associate II/Senior Research Associate will join the Discovery team to support pipeline projects through data generation and validation of targets using patient-derived neurons.

Responsibilities
Help develop robust differentiation, and scalable platforms to generate various types of functional neurons and glial cells from human iPSCs
Assess effects of ASOs on RNA/protein in iPSC-derived neurons
Establish biochemical (e.g., ELISA) and/or cellular functional assays (e.g., multielectrode array) for target validation and to assess ASO activity
Support in vivo pharmacology and efficacy studies by analyzing mouse tissue samples for RNA and protein (no direct animal work)
Provide input into experimental design, data analysis, and communication of results to the broader scientific teams
Maintain detailed records of experimental design and results in electronic lab notebook
Support daily laboratory operation and maintenance including preparing and ordering necessary reagents and supplies, equipment maintenance, and other periodic lab activities
Qualification
Required
BS or MS degree in neuroscience, cell biology, molecular biology or a similar discipline with 2+ years of industry or academic research experience
Demonstrated expertise in cell culture experimental skills, including experience with human iPSC culture and differentiation
Experience with molecular biology techniques including RNA isolation, QPCR, and western blot
Team-oriented, highly motivated with a strong work ethic, ability to work productively in a fast-paced collaborative environment that requires a high level of organization and communication
Demonstrated attention to detail and time management skills
Preferred
Experience with immunofluorescence staining, microscopy, and ELISAs
