Responsibilities

Engage with the business and other technology teams on a regular basis and develop working relationships
Monitor results of scheduled jobs, perform root cause analysis, communicate recommendations, and follow through to resolution
Build and maintain python and SQL scripts to manage the administration and update of the metadata repository
Manage and execute change control requests using Jira for tracking; oversee the Jira process flow for all units of work
Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment

Required

Minimum three years of recent experience working within Data Governance/Metadata programs and the processes of managing a Data Catalog
High level of proficiency in SQL is required; solid data analysis skills and ability to work with relational databases; SQL Server and Databricks experience preferred
Ability to positively influence, mentor and be a credible source of knowledge to business and technical colleagues; comfortable with change, ambiguity, and executing on conceptual ideas; exceptional critical thinking skills; detail-oriented; interest in generative AI and development of agentic AI to support/augment BAU processes
Strong communication and writing skills and extensive experience in a business-facing role; exceptional problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize and use independent judgment to support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork

Preferred

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
SQL Server and Databricks experience preferred
Understanding of Collibra platform, metadata ingestion, data lineage ingestion, Data Dictionaries, Business Glossary and Collibra REST APIs preferred; proficiency with python scripting and ETL processing preferred; exposure to Collibra workflow development desired; experience with Databricks Unity Catalog and/or Microsoft Purview is desirable
