Technical Sales Manager
Encore Leadership Advisors is partnering with a fast-growing contract manufacturer in the dietary supplement space to hire a Technical Sales Manager. This role involves collaborating with Sales and Product Development to convert concepts into market-ready products, while leading technical discussions and ensuring alignment across internal teams.
Responsibilities
Support top-of-funnel discovery
Lead customer-facing technical discussions
Serve as the 'quarterback' during early opportunity development
Ensure requirements are clear, timelines are realistic, and internal teams are aligned
Help drive momentum while balancing innovation, manufacturability, compliance, and commercial goals
Translate customer ideas into actionable technical plans
Work cross-functionally across Product Development, Regulatory, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations
Stay closely connected to market trends, emerging ingredients, and new technologies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a scientific, technical, or business-related field (Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Nutrition, Engineering, or similar)
5+ years of experience in dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, or contract manufacturing
Working knowledge of product development lifecycles, cGMP manufacturing, and specification-driven execution
Strong Excel skills and comfort working in ERP/CRM systems
Preferred
Familiarity with regulatory, labeling, and claims considerations (CFR exposure preferred)
SAP a plus
