Wealth Strategist
OneWell is a firm focused on high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families, and they are seeking a Wealth Strategist to enhance the client experience. This role involves acting as a primary partner to senior advisors, managing client relationships, and ensuring the delivery of integrated financial planning services.
Responsibilities
Serve as a primary partner to senior advisors, materially increasing their capacity across prospecting, onboarding, and ongoing client service
Own preparation, execution, and follow-through for planning-related work so advisors can focus on judgment, relationships, and growth
Step in wherever needed—analytical, organizational, or client-facing—to ensure client needs are addressed efficiently and at a high standard
Support advisors during the prospecting phase by preparing tailored planning analyses, meeting materials, and client-ready presentations
Participate in prospect meetings where planning insights and coordination capabilities are central to demonstrating OneWell’s value
Help maintain momentum with prospective clients by coordinating follow-up, addressing questions, and advancing next steps
Contribute to a differentiated, planning-led prospect experience that reflects OneWell’s integrated approach
Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for routine service-related needs for HNW and family office clients
Coordinate across all client stakeholders, including internal teams and external advisors (tax, estate, insurance, family office partners)
Ensure client requests, planning initiatives, and action items are executed accurately, promptly, and with clear communication
Proactively manage timelines, deliverables, and expectations to provide a seamless, high-touch client experience
Escalate issues thoughtfully and appropriately while resolving the majority of routine matters independently
Lead the development and ongoing management of comprehensive financial plans covering cash flow, retirement, education, insurance, liquidity, philanthropy, and related planning areas
Perform advanced cash-flow modeling and scenario analysis for complex HNW and UHNW client situations
Provide tax-aware planning insights, including coordination around timing strategies and charitable planning considerations
Identify estate and trust planning needs and work closely with external legal and tax professionals to support implementation
Translate complex analyses into clear, actionable guidance for both clients and advisors
Act as the coordination hub for planning-related matters across the client’s advisory ecosystem
Work closely with external CPAs, estate attorneys, and family office professionals to ensure aligned advice and execution
Collaborate with the CIO and investment team to ensure planning strategies are properly reflected in portfolio implementation
Partner with operations and service teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing account management
Serve as a primary user of financial planning, portfolio reporting, and CRM platforms, leveraging technology to drive clarity, efficiency, and consistency
Maintain accurate documentation and tracking across planning systems and client records
Help refine and systematize planning and advisor-support workflows as the firm grows
Develop polished, client-facing planning materials, summaries, and presentations that reflect OneWell’s standards
Qualification
Required
Typically 5–12 years in financial planning or wealth management, ideally within an RIA, private bank, or multi-family office
Direct experience supporting senior advisors and working with HNW or UHNW families
Strong financial planning background, with comfort owning planning workflows and using planning software as a core tool
Experience coordinating across tax, estate, and other advisory disciplines
Highly organized and execution-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across clients
Comfortable interacting directly with clients and external advisors
Technologically fluent, with experience using planning tools, portfolio systems, and CRM platforms
Client-first in outcomes, with an advisor-partner operating mindset, focused on enabling advisors to deliver proactive, coordinated, and high-quality client experiences
Ownership-oriented and execution-driven, comfortable doing whatever work is required to move client goals forward and ensure nothing falls through the cracks
Discreet, polished, and credible with sophisticated HNW and UHNW clients, able to navigate complex family and advisor dynamics with sound judgment
Collaborative and entrepreneurial, thriving in a growing firm environment where processes are still being built and accountability is shared rather than siloed

CFP® strongly preferred; tax or estate planning exposure is a plus
