Responsibilities

Lead the U.S. and Canadian Sales organization in developing and executing Nutiva’s commercial strategy across channels (Grocery, Natural, Club, Mass, Distributor, and Emerging channels)
Deliver annual revenue targets, customer profitability goals, and strategic business objectives
Develop scalable, data-driven sales processes, KPIs, and reporting cadence aligned with company goals
Ensure execution of pricing, promotion, merchandising, and distribution fundamentals at retail
Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP) with key customers in partnership with Marketing, ensuring seamless alignment of customer strategies, brand priorities, and annual growth plans
Build and mentor a high-performing Sales team with clear roles, accountability, and development plans
Lead Nutiva’s broker partners to ensure strong coverage, disciplined execution, and alignment to strategy
Ensure national account leaders are supported with tools, insights, and cross-functional alignment to win
Oversee key accounts with responsibility for distribution, velocity, promo planning, and profitability
Support the team in developing best-in-class sell-in materials in partnership with Marketing
Provide visibility into risks, opportunities, retailer trends, and customer-specific strategies
Own strategic oversight of trade spend to ensure disciplined investment, ROI, and customer strategy
Partner with Finance to develop accurate monthly forecasts, annual plans, pricing, and promo guardrails
Improve planning rigor around launches, transitions, and discontinuations
Partner with Operations to ensure demand planning accuracy and customer service expectations are met
Collaborate with Marketing team to align retail activation with national brand plans and digital strategies
Partner closely with Marketing to ensure customer plans and Sales execution support Nutiva’s brand, channel, and commercial strategy
Participate as a key leader in innovation launch planning, ensuring strong retail readiness
Represent Nutiva at key trade shows (Expo West, ECRM, distributor shows) and customer touchpoints
Stay ahead of category, retail, and consumer trends; translate insights into commercial initiatives

Required

Bachelor's degree in business or related field
15+ years of progressive Sales leadership experience in CPG (Natural/Organic strongly preferred)
Proven success managing national accounts with full P&L and trade responsibility
Demonstrated experience leading high-performing teams and broker networks
Strong financial acumen and ability to partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, and Operations
Empowered and motivated to work in a fast-paced, dynamic organization; entrepreneurial mindset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with comfort presenting to senior executives
Strong organizational, strategic planning, and project management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve complex problems, and operate with urgency
Passion for driving results and living the Nutiva core values
Ability to travel approximately 25–40% for key customer meetings, broker partner visits, national account reviews, industry trade shows, and executive meetings
