Basic Systems, Inc. is a company seeking a CAD Drafter I to complete drafting assignments such as drawings, dimensioning, and material take-offs. The role involves coordinating work with team members and preparing project documentation, including traveling to project sites as necessary.

Responsibilities

Complete drawings in accordance with Company and Customer Standards including all line work, dimensioning, cross references and CAD requirements

Coordinate the work with other discipline and project team members

Prepare material take-offs, lists and schedules as assigned to complete project documentation

Travel to project meetings or job sites to aid in project completion

Qualification

CAD toolsReading project drawingsSpreadsheets proficiencyWord processing proficiencyTechnical degree

Required

A two-year technical associate's degree in a Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or Architectural discipline, featuring CAD instruction and computer skills

Ability to use Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) tools to prepare models and drawings according to Project Requirements, Customer's Standards, and Company's Standards

Ability to read and interpret Vendor and project drawings and documentation as required to complete assignments

Proficient in spreadsheets and word processing tasks

The ability to work overtime, 10 to 20 hours per week when workload is necessary

Some domestic travel may be required
