Responsibilities
Contribute to a high-performing, motivated workgroup
Manage and maintain Oracle database systems, ensuring their health, performance, and security
Provide database administration ensuring database performance, security, and high availability
Maintain data integrity, implementing security protocols, and providing expert-level support of DB environment
Perform routine and on-demand database maintenance tasks, including patching, upgrades, and backups
Implement and manage security protocols, including encryption and authentication, to ensure data compliance
Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline routine administrative tasks
Conduct performance tuning and optimization to resolve database-related performance issues
Provide application support and engage in troubleshooting for database issues
Participate in an on-call support rotation to provide 24/7 support
Execute Change Management processes for all database modifications
Assist with Capacity Planning
Manage Users and Schemas
Coordinate with Oracle Support Services for issue resolution and technical guidance
Qualification
Required
Current IRS MBI Access
Experience in full lifecycle management of Oracle database systems
Ability to manage and maintain Oracle database systems, ensuring their health, performance, and security
Expertise in database administration ensuring database performance, security, and high availability
Experience in maintaining data integrity and implementing security protocols
Ability to perform routine and on-demand database maintenance tasks, including patching, upgrades, and backups
Experience in implementing and managing security protocols, including encryption and authentication
Ability to develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline routine administrative tasks
Experience in conducting performance tuning and optimization to resolve database-related performance issues
Ability to provide application support and engage in troubleshooting for database issues
Willingness to participate in an on-call support rotation to provide 24/7 support
Experience in executing Change Management processes for all database modifications
Ability to assist with Capacity Planning
Experience in managing Users and Schemas
Ability to coordinate with Oracle Support Services for issue resolution and technical guidance
