Responsibilities

Assess lab systems and design, develop, implement, direct, monitor and evaluate new systems, projects and programs; update existing services on an ongoing basis and/or as assigned

Manage lab business practices in order to maximize revenue and justify human and material resource allocation

Design, develop, implement and evaluate a comprehensive effective quality assurance program to ensure cost effective quality health care for patients

Maintain responsibility for personnel management in those areas designated by the Medical Director and participate in providing an effective workforce for the overall department

Develop and ensure implementation and documentation of departmental operating policies and procedures in accordance with institutional policies and requirements of regulatory agencies for designated lab sections and participate in overall departmental policy development as required
