Responsibilities
Team leadership: supervise and mentor engineering teams
Management: responsible for planning, coordinating and executing engineering projects and associated budgets
Technical oversight: oversee design processes
Lead the engineering team to develop reactor designs from concept through final design
Lead the engineering team to support licensing activities
Collaboration: lead engineering support for reactor licensing, customer needs, etc
Develop, implement, and maintain an engineering program that complies with the NuCube Quality Management System
Ensures timely and effective review, tracking, and trending of performance
Provides adequate planning, scheduling, and resources to implement requirements utilizing a graded approach
Ensures adequate staffing of qualified personnel
Oversee management assessments
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering
A minimum of (15) years' direct related experience in the nuclear industry (DOE nuclear facility authorization, NRC or CNSC)
Demonstrated experience in effectively managing or working in nuclear engineering programs is a non-negotiable requirement
In-depth understanding of nuclear facility and reactor engineering concepts, principles, and theories
Demonstrated ability to manage others and coordinate across multiple organizations to provide solutions in a timely manner
Preferred
Advanced degree preferred
Design engineering of nuclear facilities and reactors
Demonstrated skill and knowledge with applicable codes and standards
A proven ability to manage concurrent projects and deadlines effectively
