Responsibilities

Inspire and Educate: Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment where students/technicians can flourish, fostering their passion for General Motors while imparting your expert knowledge
Hands-On Training: Lead by example and provide practical demonstrations, ensuring students/technicians gain real-world experience in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing various systems
Deliver prepared curriculum through multimedia techniques
Organizes, communicates, and delivers learning objectives in a clear, concise manner through well-paced lessons, ensuring appropriate classroom and lab content
Curriculum Development: Prepares, develops, and/or updates curriculum from the original equipment manufacturer
Mentorship: Guide and mentor students on their individual projects, encouraging them to think critically and find innovative solutions
Safety First: Instill the importance of safety procedures and best practices to ensure a secure working environment for everyone, meeting/exceeding the expectations and brand standards of the OEM
Prepares, maintains, and obtains training aids, tools, and equipment in advance, for use in the classroom and lab
Maintains daily/weekly contact with National Program Director to coordinate training, staffing, vehicles, and equipment
Prepares weekly reports of activities as directed
Uses good judgement with travel and course delivery expenses
Tests and evaluates student performance and provides counseling and guidance to at-risk students using proper documentation
Adhere to all the guidelines of the UTI Travel Policy
Other duties as assigned

Required

High school diploma or GED
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively connect with technicians/students and fellow staff
Planning, prioritization skills, time management skills, and deadline-oriented, can adapt to a changing environment
Knowledge of MS Office
A patient, motivational, and empathetic approach to teaching, understanding that every student/technician learns at their own pace
Problem-solving and decision-making skills, using good judgment, and able to support flexible/adaptable work schedules to exceed 15 pounds
Ability to travel overnight, as needed
