Responsibilities

Analyze federal and state-level K–12 education data to support program performance reporting and evaluation efforts
Support data collection, validation, and analysis for required federal reporting, including EDFacts, CSPR, and other Department of Education data submissions
Prepare data summaries, reports, dashboards, tables, charts, and visualizations for internal use and public-facing products, including 'Fast Facts' pages
Assist with maintaining data integrity, documentation, and version control across multiple datasets and reporting cycles
Support development of technical assistance deliverables by translating complex data into clear, actionable insights for federal, state, and local stakeholders
Contribute to annual performance indicator reports and other data-driven evaluations as required by the contract
Assist with data calls, monitoring activities, and follow-up analyses to address data quality issues or reporting discrepancies
Collaborate with program staff, technical assistance providers, and federal stakeholders to ensure data products align with program priorities and compliance requirements
Maintain organized records and documentation to support audits, reporting reviews, and contract continuity or transition activities

Required

Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Education, Public Policy, Analytics, or a related quantitative field is required
Minimum of 2–3 years of experience working with K–12 education data, program data analysis, or federal or state education reporting
Demonstrated experience analyzing and interpreting large datasets to support reporting, evaluation, or program improvement efforts
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, charts, and data validation techniques
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail and data accuracy
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and collaboration platforms such as SharePoint or Microsoft Teams
U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass a background investigation or obtain a security clearance, if required by the contract

Preferred

Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms is preferred
Familiarity with federal education data systems such as EDFacts, CSPR, or related reporting frameworks is strongly preferred
