Human Resources Coordinator

Responsibilities

Coordinate interview scheduling and communicate with candidates and hiring managers throughout the hiring process
Support applicant tracking, candidate follow-up, and recruitment documentation
Prepare offer letters, onboarding materials, and pre-employment documentation
Facilitate new hire onboarding, orientation sessions, and required paperwork
Partner with hiring managers to ensure a smooth, organized, and effective onboarding experience
Maintain accurate employee records and data within HR systems (HRIS)
Process employee lifecycle changes, including new hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations
Coordinate background checks, I-9 verification, and compliance documentation
Assist with internal audits and ad hoc HR reporting as needed
Maintain and manage HR filing systems and documentation
Serve as a point of contact for employee questions related to benefits and payroll
Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, and annual open enrollment activities
Support administration of retirement and savings programs
Partner with payroll teams to ensure accurate employee data and timely processing
Process employment and unemployment verifications
Respond to general HR inquiries in a professional, timely, and confidential manner
Assist with employee communications, engagement initiatives, and events
Support employee recognition programs and wellness-related communications
Assist with ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
Support HR projects, policy updates, and process improvement initiatives
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion
Support the planning and execution of the summer internship program
Coordinate internship recruiting efforts, including job postings, scheduling, and communications
Facilitate intern onboarding, orientation, and program logistics
Serve as a primary point of contact for interns throughout the program
Track intern attendance, milestones, evaluations, and program completion
Support intern-to-full-time conversion processes and offer coordination
Assist with intern engagement events, learning sessions, and presentations
Support campus relations, career fairs, and early-career branding initiatives
Prepare reports and metrics related to early-career program outcomes

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with HRIS systems, ADP, and AI tools strongly preferred
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion

Preferred

2+ years of experience in an HR, recruiting, or administrative role preferred
