Responsibilities

Perform integration, functional, and performance testing of Wi-Fi gateways, extenders, and connected home devices
Develop, execute, and maintain test strategies, test plans, and test cases
Translate customer and product requirements into comprehensive test scenarios
Validate Wi-Fi performance across real-world wireless environments
Work closely with product managers and developers to define, document, and validate product features
Collaborate with QA, software, and automation teams to design and enhance test frameworks
Participate actively in issue triage, debugging, and root-cause analysis
Conduct packet-level analysis and RF troubleshooting
Clearly document test processes, results, and defects
Ensure clear and consistent communication with peers, stakeholders, and management
Support release schedules and ensure on-time delivery of high-quality software and firmware

Required

Strong hands-on expertise in 802.11 Wi-Fi standards (802.11 b/g/n/ac/ax/be)
Solid understanding of RF fundamentals, including signal strength, interference, noise, throughput, and latency
Knowledge of Wireless Security (WPA2/WPA3, encryption, authentication, key exchange)
Experience testing Wireless Access Points, Routers, Gateways, and Extenders
Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, including: IPv4 / IPv6, Ethernet, DHCP, DNS, ICMP, ARP, NAT, Bridging, Switching
Experience with Wi-Fi and network test tools, such as: Veriwave, IXIA / Chariot, Wireshark, Omnipeek
Knowledge of UNIX/Linux systems and command-line tools
Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Experience across the full product development lifecycle, including: Requirements gathering, Functional & technical specifications, QA and validation, Deployment and maintenance
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to lead testing initiatives and present findings to senior leadership (SLT)
Thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Comfortable managing multiple projects across cross-functional teams

Preferred

Experience with DOCSIS-based environments
Knowledge of home networking technologies: Bluetooth, Zigbee, MoCA, Matter, Ethernet
Familiarity with RF chambers and testbeds: Octoscope, Lindgren, Candela
Experience with automation, scripting, or programming (Python, Bash, etc.)
Exposure to data science tools for performance analysis
Experience designing or extending test automation frameworks
