Business Development Manager | IC Channel | Florida

Chervon North America, Inc. is one of the world’s largest power tool and outdoor power equipment manufacturers. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities in Florida, focusing on the Professional Construction and Automotive/Marine Detailing trades.

Responsibilities

Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
Recruit and onboard new dealers in alignment with annual goals
Identify, target, and secure new dealer, distributor, and strategic accounts across territory that align with Chervon’s Professional Construction and Auto/Marine Detailing trade strategy
Prospect aggressively through cold calling, in-person field activity, networking, referrals, and industry engagement to consistently generate new opportunities
Build, manage, and advance a qualified pipeline of new business aligned with annual revenue and new-account growth targets
Lead the full account development cycle—from initial prospecting and onboarding through first order and early-stage ramp-up—ensuring strong launch execution
Develop relationships with key trade influencers including contractors, installers, detailers, shop owners, and regional trade groups to drive end-user demand and dealer pull-through
Lead account onboarding, launch execution, and early-stage sales enablement for newly onboarded and high-growth accounts
Build high-impact relationships that accelerate new account growth and position Chervon brands for long-term success
Partner with dealers to expand their businesses through product demonstrations, store or trade events, product line reviews, and targeted training that drives adoption and sell-through
Support early-stage account growth through launch planning, promotional alignment, and sell-through strategies
Generate end-user demand by cultivating relationships with key trade stakeholders and influencers in priority segments
Execute FLEX and SKIL brand marketing initiatives at the dealer and trade level, ensuring alignment with targeted trade segments and go-to-market priorities
Represent Chervon at industry events, trade shows, and regional dealer functions to build brand awareness, open new opportunities, and support account acquisition
Partner with Marketing and Sales Leadership to activate launch programs, promotions, and merchandising that drive adoption and sell-through in priority accounts
Provide timely, actionable field feedback on product performance, competitive activity, pricing dynamics, and the effectiveness of marketing initiatives to inform ongoing strategy
Earn trust and respect from internal and external stakeholders by consistently demonstrating integrity
Manage travel and time efficiently to maximize productivity while adhering to budget constraints
Utilize CRM software effectively to maintain detailed records and manage customer relationships
Perform additional duties as assigned

Required

5+ years of experience in business development, territory sales, or distributor sales within power tools, construction supply, automotive, marine, or adjacent professional trade industries
Demonstrated success opening, developing, and scaling new accounts in a competitive, field-based sales environment
Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets, with accountability for revenue growth
Direct experience selling into professional trades (e.g., construction, automotive, marine, detailing, specialty trades), not solely retail or distribution-only environments
Strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills, with the ability to move opportunities from initial contact through onboarding and early growth
Sound business and financial acumen, with the ability to evaluate opportunity size, pricing, and long-term profitability
Ability to work independently in the field while collaborating effectively with internal Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations teams
Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build high-impact, growth-oriented relationships
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and CRM or related sales software
Residency within the assigned territory in Florida is required

Preferred

Existing relationships within construction supply, independent tool dealers, detailing distributors, or specialty trade channels strongly preferred
Experience launching, rebuilding, or expanding brands within a defined territory is strongly preferred
Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
Bilingual Spanish preferred
