Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) operates the Nevada National Security Site, focusing on national security and high-hazard experimentation. They are seeking a Business Assistant II to perform various administrative and operations support duties associated with the Nuclear Testing Archives.

Responsibilities

Perform various administrative, clerical, and/or operations support duties and responsibilities associated with the Nuclear Testing Archives
Scan documents at the NTA in Las Vegas, NV
Index documents into the NTA Database
Assist with Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act requests
Interface with outside agencies including planning and operations support as requested
Compose routine correspondence in response to requests for department services; answers inquiries from other departments, area offices, or outside entities
Review deliverables of assigned staff and monitors quality to ensure that all documents conform to established standards and procedures
Assist in cross-training other personnel in project/organizational unit techniques, and procedures
Perform other duties assigned by Management

Required

US Citizenship is required for all positions
High School diploma or equivalent, and at least one year of related experience
Able to use personal computer, printers, copiers, telephones, fax machines, calculators, and other general office equipment
Able to use Microsoft Excel and Window software
Experience working with the public
Able to follow oral and written instruction, and follow through on all assignments
Able to apply knowledge of a broad range of specialized functions and assist in coordinating activities with those of other work groups
Able to demonstrate creativity in how work is performed and in addressing the work processes
Able to deal with pressure of handling multiple tasks, complaints, frequent interruptions, and time constraints
Knowledge of basic math, grammar, spelling, and punctuation
The primary work location will be the Desert Research Institute (DRI) Facility in Las Vegas, Nevada
The primary work hours are Mon/Thurs 4 -10's (subject to change)
Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing
Must possess a valid driver's license
Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under the Department of Energy Order 206.2, ‘Identity, Credential, and Access Management,' and Supplemental Directive NNSA SD 206.2, ‘Implementation of Personal Identity Verification for Uncleared Contractors.'
