Workers Compensation Coordinator

AAON, Inc. is seeking a Workers Compensation Coordinator II who will be responsible for managing and administering the company’s workers compensation program. This role involves coordinating claims, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing support to both employees and management regarding workers compensation issues.

Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operations of the workers compensation program, ensuring prompt and efficient processing of claims
Coordinate with medical providers, employees, and insurance carriers to facilitate a smooth claims process
Maintain accurate records of all workers’ compensation claims and related documentation
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local workers compensation laws and regulations
Provide guidance and training to management and employees on workers’ compensation procedures and policies
Investigate and report on incidents and accidents to determine the root cause and implement preventive measures
Work closely with human resources and legal departments to handle complex workers compensation cases
Coordinate return-to-work programs and assist in developing modified duty plans for injured employees
Monitor and analyze trends in workers’ compensation claims to identify areas for improvement
Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies as needed
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Associates degree in human resources, business administration, or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in workers' compensation management, preferably in a self-insured environment
Working knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations
Working knowledge of legal claim settlement and familiarity with joint petition, interrogatory and other work comp forms and other court rulings and terminology
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and workers compensation software

Preferred

Bachelor's degree
Certification in Workers Compensation (e.g., CWCP)
