Mechanical Engineer - Power Distribution Systems
Kelly Science, Engineering, Technology & Telecom is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their innovative team focused on custom switchgear and power distribution solutions. The role involves designing and developing sheet metal enclosures and mechanical systems for low- and medium-voltage assemblies, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal product performance and integration.

Responsibilities
Design custom sheet metal enclosures and mechanical assemblies for low- and medium-voltage switchgear applications
Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD
Work closely with electrical engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless product integration and optimal performance
Perform tolerance analyses, thermal evaluations, and structural assessments of designs
Maintain thorough engineering documentation, including BOMs, revision history, and design updates
Drive initiatives for cost reduction, enhanced manufacturability, and product performance improvements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably with electrical equipment, switchboards, or switchgear manufacturing
Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
Expertise in sheet metal design, enclosure fabrication, thermal management, and support for manufacturing processes
Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills
