Responsibilities

Prepare and review individual (high-net-worth) and corporate income tax returns

Handle foreign tax filings, including FBARs, Forms 1116, 5471, and 5472

Manage FBAR reporting, PFIC reporting, and other international tax compliance requirements

Prepare sales tax and commercial rent tax returns for clients across various industries

Review and respond to correspondence from tax authorities on behalf of clients

Develop and analyze fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculations

Conduct thorough analysis of financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets

Provide tax planning guidance and prepare tax estimates for clients, including more complex scenarios

Calculate quarterly and annual tax provisions, assist with disclosures, test deferred tax balances, and reconcile filings to provisions

Draft research memoranda, client correspondence, and technical documentation for submission to the IRS and other tax authorities

Qualification

CPAEA licenseTax preparation experienceMicrosoft ExcelProSystem fx TaxOrganizational capabilitiesAnalytical capabilitiesClient relationship managementCommunication

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Minimum 4-6 years of tax preparation experience within a CPA firm environment

Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical capabilities

Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships at all levels

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

Preferred

CPA or EA license and/or Master's degree in Taxation

Experience with ProSystem fx Tax, Axcess, or Engagement software is a plus
