Fractional CFO

Responsibilities
Develop and refine the company’s long‑term financial strategy aligned with growth objectives
Advise the CEO and board on financial performance, risks, and opportunities
Build financial models to support strategic decisions, including pricing, expansion, and product investments
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning processes
Establish KPIs and dashboards to track operational and financial performance
Analyze unit economics, customer acquisition costs, churn, and other SaaS/tech‑specific metrics
Prepare the company for future fundraising, debt financing, or strategic partnerships
Support investor communications, board reporting, and due diligence processes
Evaluate capital structure and optimize cash runway
Strengthen financial systems, processes, and internal controls to support scale
Oversee accounting, revenue recognition, compliance, and audit readiness
Implement scalable tools for billing, reporting, and financial automation
Manage cash flow forecasting, working capital, and treasury functions
Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies
Ensure compliance with regulatory, tax, and financial reporting requirements
Collaborate with product, engineering, sales, and operations to align financial planning with business priorities
Support pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and vendor management
Provide financial insights that drive operational efficiency and margin improvement
Qualification
Required
10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, ideally including CFO or VP Finance roles
Background in technology, SaaS, or other recurring‑revenue business models
Experience guiding companies through post‑startup growth, fundraising, or M&A
Strong understanding of financial systems, automation tools, and data‑driven decision‑making
Exceptional financial modeling and analytical capabilities
Ability to operate strategically while executing tactically
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial insights for non‑financial stakeholders
Proven track record of building scalable financial infrastructure
Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort in ambiguity
High integrity, sound judgment, and a collaborative leadership style
Ability to work flexibly across part‑time or project‑based engagements
