Waccamaw Dermatology is seeking a Mohs Clinical Float to support their Mohs surgery department. The role involves assisting in various clinical tasks, ensuring patient care, and being flexible to travel to multiple locations as needed.

Responsibilities

Making pre-op and post-op phone calls

Numbing patient for surgery

Assisting Surgeon during surgery with excisions, biopsies

Placing patients in rooms, taking histories, going in with physicians and assisting with surgeries, cleaning rooms for the next patient, cleaning instruments

Consults (both phone and office)

Entering data in EMR system quickly and accurately

Vital Signs

Cleaning, sterilizing appropriate packs for surgery

Cleaning exam rooms

Stocking rooms

Syringes/injectables as needed

Process tissue on cryostat or by manual methods

Produces consistently good quality microscopic slides that can be readily reviewed and interpreted by the Mohs surgeon

Assisting other staff as needed depending on various needs of the office/providers
