Restaurant Office Assistant

Responsibilities
Host - Greet guests politely, escort them to their respective tables, pull seats and ensure they are comfortable. Confirm with guests that seating and service meet their expectations. Monitor reservations and return messages to ensure all reservations are accounted for. Check in with manager to keep informed of private parties to be held at the restaurant. Say goodbye to guests and inquire if quality of services was provided. Report any issues to management and help resolve problems. Monitor the dining room, bathrooms, and entryway to ensure cleanliness is maintained. Roll silverware and assist with bussing and resetting of tables. Ensure menus are free of stains or spots and in good condition
Departmental Support - Perform tasks to complete monthly menu feature changes, which includes updating and printing menus. Assist with typing up and costing recipes. Build recipe packets for staff and update recipe books to keep current. Update online ordering. Assist with data entry, product and price updates, and wine and liquor inventory. Prepare and submit monthly financial reports. Assist with tracking and maintaining budget information for the department. Keep all training materials up to date. Coordinate and maintain the restaurant's website. Assist with e-mail campaigns and promotions and collaborate with restaurant managers regarding advertising needs and/or changes. Post open job positions on social media. Provide backup administrative support to other areas
Miscellaneous - Handle restaurant cash, count bar drawers, and petty cash. Prepare deposits and go to the bank as instructed. Help out with other positions in the restaurant as needed. Look for ways to improve current procedures. Answer e-mails, take reservations and assist with lunch carryout orders. Be a team player. Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Less than 2 years related experience
May require employee to drive a company vehicle; job is non-DOT regulated and an MVR is required
Per 8-hour shift. Sit 3 hours and stand 5 hours. Typical restaurant environment (Low to moderate noise level, low exposure to hot/cold temperatures, dust, fumes, grease, wet floors, and vibrations.) Regular interaction with others and performs a degree of independent work
Occasionally lifts 11-20 pounds
Infrequently lifts 41-50 pounds
Continuously pinch grasp (hold item between index finger & thumb)
Frequently bend/stoop/twist (greater than 30°), climb stairs, and grasp/grip (whole hand)
Physical and mental demands are akin to the majority of office positions with prolonged periods of sitting and prolonged use of a computer/keyboard
Infrequent lifting, frequent walking, and climbing stairs
