Director, Global IT PMO

Responsibilities
Become a resident expert in our key processes related to IT Project Management Office including Demand Management, Resource Management, Financial Management. Portfolio Management, and Project Management, IT Talent Management, and IT Business Operations while gaining a thorough understanding of stakeholder needs
Create and implement new processes, procedures, and metrics from scratch, ensuring they align with the organization's strategic goals and drive efficient delivery of IT services
Accountable for overall organizational portfolio and project metrics related to PMBOK principles including scope, schedules, budget, quality are achieved; and that portfolio of projects are aligned with strategic priorities and performing to standards
Partner with internal groups including, but not limited to, IT Service Management, IT Operations, IT Asset Management, IT Governance, Corporate Finance, Corporate HR, and various manufacturing and distribution departments within the global footprint
Work with the internal groups to identify key processes, priorities, and pain points and help define and drive changes that drive efficient delivery of IT services while understanding the constraints including costs, quality, effectiveness, time, and other factors
Define, instrument, and track relevant KPIs and success metrics to continually measure department performance and uphold key quality success criteria
Keep Sr. Leadership informed of the health and progress of the Global IT Organizations operating performance through the creation of periodic reports and deliver such reports to leaders, teammates, and Executives as required
Design and conduct virtual and in-person workshop sessions with Sr. Leaders and other teammates working on the project objectives
Support training efforts by through the creation and delivery of PM training documents, gathering requirements, and supporting the design and delivery of training programs
Support in identifying problems and provide resolutions for root cause and ideas for continual improvement
Create and implement change management strategies that drive desired business outcomes, employee adoptions, and minimize resistance
Complete work in an autonomous fashion with a high level of attention paid to detail
Act as a trusted advisor and build and maintain relationships with IT leaders and business executives to understand global business needs, ensure cost-effective delivery of IT services to meet those needs, and respond with agility to changing business priorities
Leverage influence and negotiation skills across IT and enterprises to enable cost-effective and innovative shared solutions to achieve business goals
Support IT planning and policymaking committees; assist in driving the development of enterprise technology standards, governance processes, and performance metrics
Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to the global IT Operations organization’s leadership team and staff
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field of study
Minimum of eight years in progressing IT roles or equivalent experience with operation processes, training, and organizational change management
Experience building PMOs from scratch, including all processes, procedures, training and metrics
Experience in large, cross-functional teams influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders effectively across the organization and within complex contexts (strategic planning, organization design and development, etc.)
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to develop and communicate a vision that inspires and motivates staff and aligns to the IT and business strategy
Ability to instill confidence in the business and demonstrate the business value of IT
Effective influence and negotiation skills in an environment where resources may not be in direct control of this role
Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning, and execution skills
Strong business acumen, including industry, domain-specific knowledge of the enterprise and its business units
Understanding of key Program and Project Management methodologies (PMI-PMBOK preferred)
Ability to drive organizational changes and build infrastructure capabilities that effectively balance the need to continuously exploit capabilities to optimize operational efficiency with the need to deliver innovative and agile infrastructure and operational solutions to enable the business to explore new opportunities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to articulate messages to a variety of audiences ranging from front-line workers to C-Suite
Ability to travel up to 10%; may include international travel
Preferred
Experience or demonstrated capability in leading IT transformational initiatives in complex and dynamic environments highly preferred
Knowledge of ServiceNow SPM (Portfolio and Project Management software) is strongly preferred
Success in leveraging both traditional best practices, such as IT service management practices based on ITIL, as well as emerging methods like DevOps that are optimized for agility
Strong vendor management and partner relation skills to identify and leverage resources internal and external to the enterprise to enhance capabilities that support business objectives
