Responsibilities

Processing first mortgage products

Ensuring accuracy with file submission, compliance, and timeliness of processing/closing

Knowing the guidelines and requirements for each product and investor

Initiating, tracking, and collecting proper documentation necessary for the mortgage loan process

Assuring that all necessary components of a mortgage loan file are secured, organized, and maintained throughout the origination process

Filing assembly and submission to underwriting

Completing closing packages

Supporting the efforts of the mortgage loan team with activities and projects as assigned

Exhibiting exceptional telephone communication, follow-through, and interpersonal skills

Problem solving with loan officers, members, underwriters, and closers to clear conditions or determine program guidelines

Assisting loan officers in communicating with borrowers as a supporting member of their team

Required

High School Diploma

Must have a solid understanding and ability to use Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel

One to three years of credit union and or banking experience

Previous mortgage processing experience is required

Problem solving skills, including working with loan officers, members, underwriters, and closers to clear conditions or determining program guidelines
