People & Planet Fellow (NESI) - Summer 2026
Sealaska is an Alaska Native regional corporation committed to economic prosperity and environmental protection. They are seeking a People & Planet Fellow to assist in implementing corporate social responsibility strategies and gain hands-on experience in sustainable practices during the summer of 2026.

Responsibilities
Assist the Planet & People team in implementing corporate social responsibility strategies across NESI’s operations and supply chain
Contribute to projects focused on sustainable seafood sourcing and responsible fishing practices
Participate in initiatives aimed at reducing the organization’s environmental footprint, including waste and energy reduction strategies
Conduct research on fisheries and aquaculture improvements and provide insights to support sustainability goals
Plan and execute a special project agreed upon with your line manager during the internship, applying academic knowledge to real-world challenges
Engage in key business projects to develop leadership skills and broaden understanding of international business operations
Prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings, progress, and recommendations for CSR initiatives
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in post-secondary institution or recently graduated
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Able to both collaborate with a team and work independently
Sealaska shareholder or descendant of a shareholder
Must be 18 years old at time of hire
Must be currently enrolled in post-secondary school/program or a recent graduate (1-2 years)
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred
Interest in environmental sustainability or CSR
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
At least a 2.5 GPA
Self-starter with ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
