Responsibilities

Displays good working knowledge of routine use and maintenance of equipment relevant to area
Performs equipment verifications and calibrations (pipettes, balances, pH meters, plate readers, etc)
Prepares reagents, buffers, and other study related solutions as needed
Provides general lab cleaning, expired reagent monitoring, and glassware washing
Manages the inventory, ordering, E-Workbook registration, storage, organization, and disposal of laboratory supplies. These may include critical reagents, chemicals, consumables, and matrix
Performs test article / reference material weighings, if appropriate
Performs freezer and refrigerator maintenance, oversees organization
Maintains water systems, performs readings, or sends samples out for testing
Provides ideas, supports, and participates in process improvement initiatives
Maintains a clean and safe laboratory work environment. Demonstrates understanding of Health and Safety compliance by ensuring that policies/SOPs and training are up to date
May train or assist less experienced staff
Performs other related duties as assigned

Required

1-2 years of laboratory experience or Associate Degree in related field
High School diploma / educated to A-level or equivalent plus 1-2 years of laboratory experience or Associate Degree in related field
Displays good working knowledge of routine use and maintenance of equipment relevant to area
