Responsibilities
Monitors industry evolution and policy activities in the areas of product growth trends, drug pricing, channel economics and reimbursement
Distills key trends for internal and external stakeholders
Serves as a subject matter expert on economic matters in meetings with policymakers
Leads and support complex projects and cross functional teams, developing new business model growth strategies for distribution and closely related services
Plays a key role in Cencora’s evolution in new pricing and contracting structures with customers and manufacturers, and collaborates with Finance to monitor progress on the impact of new value models on Cencora’s performance
Models the impact of macroeconomic and policy changes, which will be used by Finance for the Long Range Plan, and by the business units for risk mitigation activities
Manage team members who are responsible for building analytics and other content
Lead the development of ad hoc analysis reports as needed
Conduct thorough analyses to derive implications from the collected data, evaluating what these insights mean for Cencora’s various business areas
Lead and develop team responsible for market economics end-to-end process
Perform related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Normally requires a minimum of ten (10)+ years directly related and progressively responsible experience in Finance, Strategy or Policy, preferably in one of the following industries: healthcare distribution, life science, healthcare services, medical devices/technologies, or in management consulting, private equity/venture capital, or investment banking
Requires Bachelor's Degree
In-depth knowledge of healthcare or pharmaceutical markets
Fundamental knowledge of profitability models and analysis
Advanced capability in data collection, organization, and management
Ability to perform fact-based analytical techniques. Ability to guide a team working in data analytics that is accessing and manipulating system sourced financial information
Strong understanding of government policy and policymaking
Executive presence with the ability to deliver presentations to senior leadership and broad audiences. Ability to aggregate a multitude of information and present it in a digestible format
Ability to lead complex high value cross functional projects. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
High level of creativity; ability to work independently and with teams
Proven and strong interpersonal skills to motivate and mentor and develop staff
Preferred
MBA and/or related degree strongly preferred
