IT Desktop Support
Control Solutions Inc. is a mid-sized specialty chemical manufacturer seeking an IT Desktop Support professional. In this role, you will provide maintenance and support for the computer desktop environment, resolving issues, installing hardware and software solutions, and assisting the internal IT Helpdesk.

Responsibilities
Provide helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction
Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk
Monitor Service Desk for tickets assigned to the queue and process first-in first-out based on priority
Offer your support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems
Utilize and maintain helpdesk tracking software
Document internal procedures
Assist with onboarding of new users
Ensure each workstation has a computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, hard drive, and any additional specialized equipment
Install, test and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment and software
Maintain inventory of all equipment, software and software licenses
Report issues to the Service Desk for escalation
Manage PC setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware, images and software
Assign users and computers to proper groups in Active Directory
Perform timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required
Company phone system & cell phone support
Performs other related duties as assigned
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
Refining and automating regular processes, tracking issues, and documenting changes
Performing scheduled maintenance and supporting release deployment activities after hours
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Business, Communications or related field
5 years of Desktop support or related experience
Microsoft Office 365 experience
Experience with Active Directory
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Excellent communication skills including active listening
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Preferred
Dynamics GP Administration and Application support
Provide support for Cavallo SalesPad Desktop / SPS EDI / workflow
SQL database maintenance and report writing
Cisco Networking
SOX Audit Compliance
