Responsibilities
Review and enter revenue transactions, ensuring they are accurate and adhere to US GAAP and revenue recognition rules
Assist the Controller in managing the accounting operations including the review of accounts receivable, other accounts and journal entries
In charge of sales and use tax filings (State Sales/Use taxes, GST/PST, etc.) ensuring that registration, filings, and remittances are performed accurate and timely
Ensure controls and procedures are done in compliance with Company policies, US GAAP, and SOX methodologies
Perform monthly and ad-hoc variance analyses and reports to provide meaningful insights and analyses to stakeholders
Assist with compliance (tax, government, financial audits, etc.) as required

Qualification
Required
Degree in Business/Accounting and CPA designation, and/or minimum 5 years of experience of similar responsibilities
Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, etc.) required with strong understanding of financial modeling especially complex formulas
Experience with NetSuite and/or strong IT and digital skills is a strong asset
Excellent critical thinking skills; being able to identify, troubleshoot, and solve problems in a calm manner
Strong communication skills and ability to work both collaboratively and independently
Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines
Preferred
Experience in high volume technology (SaaS, IT, SMB, B2B, B2C) industry or environment is an asset
Experience with full-cycle accounting process, variance analysis/FP&A, and M&A is an asset
Experience with multi-currency and multi-entity consolidation is an asset
