Responsibilities
Fluent in both English and Korean to ensure smooth communication with Korean vendors
Responsible for identifying and summarizing issues during production and equipment operation, and coordinating with OEMs to drive effective problem resolution
Responsible for spare parts management and equipment maintenance (performing daily preventive maintenance and regular scheduled PM activities(w/ Technician). All of activities must be documented
Responsible for stable equipment operation, timely reporting of issues to the Part Leader and Team Leader, effective communication, and independently conducting issue analysis and continuous improvement activities(w/ trouble shooting)
Train other engineers, supervisor, operators and technicians with shared responsibilities (including in their percentage of each responsibilities)
Analyze productivity, yield and overall equipment efficiency (OEE) of assigned process and department
Work with engineers and operators to troubleshoot machines to ensure highest yield and OEE
Analyze Quality issues to provide corrective actions
Improve production processes by creating various SOPs and train operators to ensure understanding and correct implementation to floor
Compliance with health/safety/environmental/ fire regulations
Spec. optimization and process conditions establishment
PFD: process flow diagram, PFMEA: process failure mode and effects analysis, CP: control plan
Chronic defect improvement activities
Production/development model dissemination and 4M change verification
Conduct internal and customer audits
Non-conformance report handling and improvement
Response to internal/external quality issues for the customer
Establishment and revision of PFD, PF Manual
Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 3R 5S Standards(w/ supervisors, engineers, operators, technicians)
Sort, Set in order, Shine(cleaning), Standardize, Sustain
Right Place, Right Item, Right Quantity
Responsible for completing tasks assigned by supervisors(Part leader, Team leader, Department leader)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent, relevant experience
Fluent in both English and Korean to ensure smooth communication with Korean vendors
Bilingual (Korean and English) required
Six Sigma knowledge
MS Office Suite(especially excel & PPT)
Work cross functionally(communication skill)
Written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Organizational and multitasking skills
Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following PPE for a period of up to 12 hours: Safety glasses, Steel-toed shoes
Must be able to do the following repeatedly for a period of up to 12 hours: Lift, push, pull, Stoop, twist, bend, Reach overhead, Sit and/or stand, Standing
Preferred
1-3+ years' of experience in production technology related job preferred but not required
