Production Supervisor (Third Shift)
Latitude Corp is a 100% employee-owned team in precision metal manufacturing. They are seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee production operations, ensure quality standards, and manage a team effectively.

Responsibilities
This position has responsibility for meeting production deadlines
This position has the authority to place purchase requisitions as needed for the day-to-day operation of the plant
This position will assist the Plant Manager with performance evaluations, wage increase recommendations and appropriate disciplinary actions
Oversees the management of equipment, scheduling of workstations and workers, requisition of supplies and coordination administrative activities as required
Produce parts and products in accordance with the established safety, quality, and cost standards of the Company
Authority to drive company forklifts if trained
Ensure all department employees work safely and all hazardous conditions are eliminated
Ensure statutory, regulatory and environmental regulations are met
Work closely with Plant Manager and Quality Manager to make sure quality standards and continuous improvement objectives and requirements are met
Work to ensure that the Quality Management System is met and upheld in all assigned departments
Responsible for day-to-day operations in the department
Follow work schedules by department from the Master Production Schedules to ensure that deadlines are met
Make suggestions to the Plant Manager as to manpower requirements to maximize throughput of product, while at the same time keeping production costs to a minimum
Help design and implement procedures related to areas of responsibility as applicable
Ensure cross departmental communication is accurate and effective
Supervise and monitor employees reporting to you, including performance evaluation, training, work allocation and problem resolution
Ensure all applicable operating policies and procedures are adhered to
Ensure production departments operate within regulatory and statutory regulations
Write-up work procedures and train as required
Monitor available time for production
Assist with manufacturing process difficulties, i.e. tooling, drawing requirements and interpretations
Implement and maintain inventory control systems and procedures; safeguard and oversee the use of department supplies and materials
Responsible for accuracy of department inventory quantities at the end of each month
Ensure the department maintains a neat and clean work area
Ensure output meets required deadlines while executing the above
Determine department tooling requirements and prioritize job sequence to assure the most efficient and effective production process
Ensure cross training is adequate to maintain scheduling flexibility and redundancy
Assist the Plant Manager to ensure that adequate supervision is present in the plant, including weekends and other non-traditional workdays
Qualification
Required
Proficient in using a PC keyboard
Fulltime employment (45+ hrs/week)
Good communication abilities and ability to work well with supervisors and employees
Ability to multi-task with conscientious attention to detail and accuracy
Display good leadership qualities
Be a role model for the department and set the standard of productivity, safety, and quality for employees of different levels to follow
Experience running two or more departments
Good organization skills - must be able to schedule the plant
Strong ability to troubleshoot process failures
Excellent mechanical acumen and problem-solving skills
Friendly demeanor, experience with working with customers
Experienced in the use of Word, Excel and ERP type production, costing, inventory control, and purchasing system
Strong supervisory skills and the ability to motivate and work well with others
Understanding of environmental and OSHA requirements
Experience with an MRP system and ISO
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or comparable discipline
Metal fabrication shop experience of 5+ years
3+ years of supervisory experience
