Employee Benefits Account Executive
Brown & Brown is seeking an Employee Benefits Account Executive to join their growing team in Houston, TX. The Account Executive will support and maintain strong relationships with high-profile clients, manage accounts, and assist in the overall performance of the EB Service Team.

Responsibilities
Communicate resources within Brown & Brown to round out clients (Pharmacy, Retirement, Commercial, etc.)
Drive the Client Service Cycle
Independently manage accounts increasing in complexity and funding type based on experience
Maintains direct account responsibility and is a strategic relationship manager and client liaison
Responsible for retention for an assigned group of clients
Provide guidance, training and mentorship to new hires, service teammates, team resources and anyone that needs assistance
Work closely with teammates and resources to prioritize workflow, ensure accountability and follow-through
Address and resolve internal and external challenges
Keep clients well-informed of compliance related issues
Identify client needs, provide solutions while leading and managing strategic objectives for clients
Work with teammates to ensure compliance with all I/O Standards
Develop, cultivate and maintain positive relationships within the Houston office, with clients and with vendor partners
Leverage Brown & Brown’s resources (The Spot), available tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), established work products and knowledge to maximize efficiency and effectiveness in client deliverables
Manage client and vendor expectations to ensure timely delivery of requests
Drive and foster innovation. Don’t’ be satisfied with the status quo! Generate new and practical ideas, always looking to improve
Maintain up to date records in BAM
Comply with Brown & Brown processes, I/O standards and office initiatives
Complete training and professional development to gain an understanding of the insurance industry and Brown & Brown processes
Exemplify the highest ethical standards, promote ethical behavior and uphold The Power of BE
Qualification
Required
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Microsoft Excel – Strong to expert level skills
Strong analytical and critical thinking ability
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and exercise judgement
Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills, capable of both interpreting data as well as interacting with clients on a time-sensitive basis
Demonstrates a sense of urgency and a proactive approach to meeting client requirements
Life & Health Insurance license required
This position may require routine or periodic travel which may require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle. If required, acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are requirements of this position
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in related industry preferred and/or equivalent experience, minimum 5 years
