DSP Employment Skills - Bronx
AHRC New York City is a family governed organization advocating for neurodiverse individuals to lead equitable lives. They are seeking Full-Time Direct Support Professionals in their Bronx Day Program to assist participants in developing essential skills and improving their quality of life.

Responsibilities
Work with participants by assisting them to learn and develop social skills, daily living skills and habits
Accompany participants to appointments, community outings, and other activities
Complete progress notes and make entries into the daily log book
Qualification
Required
Ability to communicate both orally and in written form in English
Knowledge of Home and Community Based Waiver, and the ability to keep up to date pertaining to such knowledge, and interpret same
Understanding of Person Centered Planning
Ability to establish and maintain a working relationship with program participants, families, staff and community agencies
High School diploma or GED is required
Preferred
Personal and/or Professional experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred
Drivers License for more than one year in good standing preferred
