This role allows individuals to take ownership of projects and develop their professional skills while working in a collaborative environment with experienced professionals.

Responsibilities
Performs inspection/fieldwork of bridges and transportation structures that does not require previous experience
Reviews and interprets plans and design drawings
Documents findings and assists in the completion of inspection and assessment reports
Supports the development of recommendations for maintenance or repairs
Prepares design computations and quantity estimates
Collaborates with senior engineers/technicians on inspections
Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software to prepare project deliverables
Engages in limited travel for on-site inspections as required
Is active in technical societies
Is able to attend meetings or events outside of normal working hours
Communicates effectively with engineering teams and project stakeholders
Actively observes and acts in an appropriate manner related to safety
Participates in training programs to enhance inspection skills

Required

Entry level Engineer
Interest in the preservation of critical infrastructure
Ability to take ownership of projects
Ability to push for new ideas and new ways of doing things
Ability to obtain resources needed to follow through on plans
Enjoys a problem-solving atmosphere
