Responsibilities
Prioritize daily tasks and meet timely due dates while working in a paperless environment
Assist in tax return process for corporate returns such as 1120s, 1040s, and 1065s
Prepare tax provision schedules, returns, payments, and reports
Assist in finding solutions to complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings
Advise management on the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws
Coordinate necessary tax preparation paperwork
Accurately prepare quarterly and annual tax reports
Stay updated with tax changes and industry trends by participating in educational opportunities and professional organizations
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
Consistently complete all assigned tasks with confidentiality and accuracy
Work independently while maintaining a positive attitude and clear communication
Performs other duties as assigned at the discretion of management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Economics or related field
2+ years of professional tax accounting experience in corporate or public accounting
Proficient with MS Office and accounting software
Strong knowledge of general accounting and bookkeeping processes
Experience with high volume tax returns
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Preferred
OneSource Tax software knowledge is a plus
