Responsibilities
Conducts preventive maintenance inspections appropriate to level of job competence using appropriate productivity & quality measures
Effectively responds to service requests, competently troubleshoots & repairs medical equipment appropriate to job proficiency level using established productivity & quality measures, demonstrating good judgment on performing component vs. circuit board level repairs
Inspects new medical devices & equipment with competence appropriate to job proficiency level
Assist Manager in maintaining and fulfilling the department/organization’s regulatory requirements and goals
Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of shop safety on the use of departmental electronic test equipment
Participates in On Call duties after normal working hours
Upon assignment, assist Manager with responding to/correcting medical equipment recalls/device alerts from manufactures and/or F.D.A
Assists Manager in giving medical equipment in-services to both operational and technical staff for specified medical devices
Qualification
Required
Minimum AAS degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology or equivalent work/military experience in Biomedical Engineering
Advance knowledge of electronic test equipment
Developed troubleshooting skills
Knowledge and function of various medical devices
Knows MS-Office and other computer applications
Understands Medical terminology
Knowledge of computers and networks
Eligible for AAMI/ICC certification
Preferred
3 to 7 years of hands on experience, preferred
Medical equipment manufacture certification, preferred
Life support/ lifesaving equipment manufacture certification, preferred
