Responsibilities

Lead daily accounting operations, managing two accountants across A/R, A/P, general ledger, and payroll functions

Oversee month-end and year-end closings to ensure timely, accurate, and GAAP-compliant reporting

Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analyses in accordance with GAAP

Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management in collaboration with leadership

Maintain and strengthen internal controls to support sustainable growth

Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and filings

Manage and mentor two accounting team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning

Partner with external accounting partners (RBS and Aprio) to coordinate and oversee specific outsourced tasks, ensuring alignment, accuracy, and seamless communication across all accounting functions

Encourage cross-departmental communication and alignment to ensure seamless financial processes

Evaluate and enhance accounting systems and workflows for scalability as the company grows

Recommend and implement automation and efficiency improvements aligned with our sustainability mission

Drive innovation in reporting and data insights to better serve internal stakeholders
