Responsibilities
Manage property tax administration for CRE portfolios, primarily in Texas, with some out-of-state properties
Analyze property valuations and negotiate to reduce taxable value
Prepare client documentation, tax estimates, and supporting reports
Represent clients in assessment appeals, both informally and at Board hearings
Maintain positive relationships with assessors, tax jurisdictions, and clients
Review and approve client tax bills
Stay current on market trends and property tax regulations
Travel as needed for inspections, hearings, and client meetings
Qualification
Required
1–3 years of experience in CRE tax consulting or appraisal; multi-state experience a plus
Strong Excel and data analysis skills
Knowledge of real estate valuation methods (cost, sales comparison, income approaches)
Strong communication, presentation, and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple tasks, and research complex property tax issues
Preferred
Texas Property Tax Consulting License
