Responsibilities

Knowledge of the systems engineering development and product lifecycle
Knowledge of Systems design, integration, validation & verification
Collaboration with cross-functional engineering and legal teams
Ensuring accurate documentation and investigation
Review of technical specifications, drawings, and data to determine correct export classification
Interpretation of the United States Munitions List (USML) and Commerce Control List (CCL) to identify appropriate Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCNs)
Conducting export classification reviews and determinations of commodities, software and technical data under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
Supporting the monitoring, maintenance, and retention of records and documentation used for export classification determinations in accordance with regulations and Honeywell policy
Staying current on all SME training requirements

Required

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
8 plus years of Engineering experience
A keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret complex regulations and technical data
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with various departments and stakeholders
Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities and maintain organized records
Must possess a deep understanding of engineering product analysis, technical concepts at a part and component functionality level
Perform duties with minimum supervision, and participate in cross-functional projects as assigned
U.S. citizenship is required due to contractual requirements
Applicants must also be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance

Preferred

Master's degree or PhD in Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineer, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
Demonstrated ability to perform research across both technical and regulatory / legal environments is an asset
High-level knowledge and skills in executing and planning most aspects of Systems Engineering
