Responsibilities

Support the alignment of messages with corporate narratives and priorities, organizational goals, and Corning’s Values
Partner with business communications colleagues to ensure cohesive, seamless view of reputational risks and advancement opportunities from various areas of the company
Develop internal and external communications materials related to new or ongoing issues management topics
Conduct strategic research on Corning’s corporate reputation via peer benchmarks and provide actionable recommendations
Track key topics related to Corning through social and traditional media outlets and provide insights on optimizing various processes to enhance communications agility and after-action efficiency

Required

The candidate is required to be pursuing a bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, advertising (or similar field) in their junior or senior year, currently enrolled in, or nearing completion of a master's program in similar fields
High level of judgement and understanding of media/PR strategies and tactics
Proactive approach and ability to navigate multi-stakeholder business environment
Ability to work comfortably across all levels of an organization, including with c-suite leadership
Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements
Ability to handle many tasks, assess priorities, and meet deadlines
Ability to work as part of a collaborative team as well as competency to work independently and lead agreed upon action plans with minimal supervision
