Accounts Payable Manager
Elevate Dental Partners is a Dental Partnership Organization that provides support to partner dentists while allowing them to maintain control over their practices. They are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to oversee AP operations, manage vendor relationships, and improve accounting processes in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day Accounts Payable operations across a multi-location dental platform, including internal AP staff and third-party administrators, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies
Act as the primary point of contact for vendor issues and payments resolution
Collaborate closely with vendors, AP staff, and practice-level office managers to resolve complex vendor issues, and streamline communication
Partner with the Controller on month-end close activities, including accruals, variance analysis, and multi-entity expense allocations
Manage vendor onboarding and compliance through acquisitions, including W-9s, insurance verification, and support for 1099 preparation
Develop, document, and improve AP processes, internal controls, and SOPs to support scalability, audit readiness, and continuous improvement
Analyze AP data to identify cost trends, duplicate payments, vendor consolidation opportunities, and efficiency improvements
Review the work of AP staff and third-party administrators, providing coaching, guidance, and opportunities for collaboration
Qualification
Required
3+ years of Accounts Payable experience, including 2 years in a supervisory or lead role
Proven ability to manage complex vendor relationships, resolve billing disputes, and escalate issues effectively
Preferred
Automated expense & invoice workflow software; Ramp (preferred but not required)
Enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications; NetSuite (preferred but not required)
