Human Resources Director
The City of Park Ridge is seeking an experienced public-sector HR leader to serve as their Human Resources Director in a part-time capacity. This role involves providing strategic HR leadership, guiding labor relations, and shaping workforce strategy within a dynamic municipal organization.
Responsibilities
Oversee the City’s HR function and supervise two full-time HR staff
Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on workforce strategy, compliance, and organizational effectiveness
Navigate a dynamic labor relations environment with five collective bargaining agreements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in HR, public/business administration, industrial relations, psychology, or related field
5–8 years of progressive HR management experience in municipal/public sector settings, including supervisory experience
Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with discretion in handling sensitive matters
Preferred
Master's degree in HR, public/business administration, industrial relations, psychology, or related field
Professional HR certification preferred (SPHR, SHRM-SCP, IPMA-CP, CLRP)
