Responsibilities
Support and enhance the existing WebSphere Commerce application, including gathering requirements, documenting specifications, and designing new features
Build and implement multi-tier eCommerce applications supporting complex business needs, both front-end and back-end, within an Agile environment
Facilitate application integration testing, develop integrations via web services (REST/SOAP), perform data conversions, and participate in system cut-over activities
Assist in the development and customization of storefront pages, business logic, and data management using WebSphere Commerce tools
Develop new microservices with Java and Spring Boot, while supporting front-end migration using React
Identify and resolve performance issues, ensure code reusability, and follow best practices in commerce development
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience working with WebSphere Commerce (version 8.x experience is a plus)
Proven experience in Java development, object-oriented design, and building scalable backend services
Strong proficiency in React.js, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and related technologies
Experience with REST/SOAP web services for system integrations
Familiarity with source control/versioning tools such as GIT, SVN, or CVS
Experience working with MVC frameworks like Struts or Spring MVC; understanding of different commerce models such as B2B and Mobile Commerce is preferred
Ability to work with complex relational data models and optimize database interactions
Additional skills include experience with JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue), Agile/Scrum methodologies, and full-stack development concepts
