Office and Budget Supervisor

The State of Wisconsin is seeking an Office and Budget Supervisor for the Worker's Compensation Division, responsible for managing budget and financial needs, workforce planning, and strategic decision-making. Responsibilities

Direct division-wide management responsibilities for budget and financial needs, including budget (operating and biennial), fiscal/procurement/purchasing, contract management, facility management, and workforce planning
Serve as a member of the Worker's Compensation management team and participate in strategic planning, setting overall policies, and assisting in decision-making processes that affect program operations and administration, as well as Division and Department goals

Required

Analyzing and presenting financial data and reports to inform business decisions
Working with a variety of funds or fund components related to budgets, grants or projects
Preparing, interpreting, and applying a variety of complex materials (e.g. issue papers, contracts or agreements, policies, technical guidance, or similar)
Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders with varying backgrounds and objectives

Preferred

Leadership experience overseeing teams, workgroups, projects, etc. (i.e. assigning work, enforcing timelines, monitoring for compliance/performance, etc.)
Performing complex fiscal duties such as determining the correct accounting codes, creating purchase orders, reconciliation of finances, project budgeting, or similar
Coordinating human resources activities such as requests to fill, interviews, onboarding steps, training, or similar
Communicating and collaborating with others and providing leadership/supervision to achieve business objectives in a changing environment
